Iwelumo.
Would a relocation package have been cheaper last season than signing Turienzo and the Trolley?
He's looking really good For Colchester,at the mo,holding the ball up well, making a nuisance of himself,a real target man,12 goals aswell, get on the blower Mcghee.

I was thinking that!!

Also a player that looks very good is DJ Campbell for Brentford, got two yesterday against Sunderland!!

Surely he cannot be out of our reach, only last season he was non-league!!!

I think it was the classic case of pissing Mcghee off once to often and so he was destined never to wear the stripes again. Shame as I thought he was a good player for us as he gave us the strength and physical presence up front, but had a half decent first touch and a bit of skill with the ball at his feet. Something the BigMac lacks.

We could'nt afford him now anyway - Apparently Watford were interested at the beginning of January and the £400k price tag put them off.

Didn't Stoke release him because he couldn't hack it in the CCC.

I think that says it all. Its very easy to say that we should have kept him now but who knows how he would have done.

as you know football is full of opinions. just because then stoke manager did nt rate him doesnt mean he is no good at this level. doncaster rovers manager didnt rate kevin keegan he went on to win 2 european player of the year awards.
reason why donny turned him down was he was too small.

But who else are we likely to target? It's that or hasbeens; proven Championship players aren't likely to fancy a move to Brighton.

A poor man's Trevor Benjamin. Wasn't really much cop - unless you're comparing him to trolley :nono:

High up on the South Downs.
A lot of excuses for McGhee mistakes in judgement! The rumour is that McGhee told Parkinson to sign him.
What I'd really like to know is why didn't MM sling Big Chris off the coach?

You are right and all managers stand or fall by their opinions.

I think CI burnt his bridges by not turning up etc and showed that he wasnt really interested in joining us permanently. MM wouldn't give him the opportunity again.
