My personal highlight was seeing Pat Harding kick a ball 50 foot up in the air when attempting to give it back after it had gone out, only for it to strike some poor Brighton fan on the head.......

Superb header by whoever it was to be fair....

"sign him up" was the chant!

highlight was the huge crowd trying to get in as the game kicked off

all because the field behind the stand used for parking was flooded!

never has the beacon seen such scenes!i can't still can't get the vision of that poor man being hit in the head of my mind. one of the funniest sights i have seen at a football ground

Did Sam Rents play right wing first half then left wing second.

rents played right back 1st half, and left back after about 60 mins when pearson came on for bagayoko and the whole defence swap positions

the same happened at the west stand in the last year at the goldstone - but even better it when higher up at hit a copper on the head knocking off his helmet - marvellous scenes!

Carpenter should have walked early on. He pushed Sheriff (who is a little twattwattwattwat ) in the face and should have been sent off. Shame he didn't take the little ****s head off.

Should have been a straight red, and it was a slap or punch cos you could hear itabout fifty yards away. Think he got away with a yellow when he showed the ref the studmarks on his knee left by the little twattwattwattwat number 10. Chippy was not best pleased.

New ex millwall guy looked good, pacey and direct. Slightly dodgy touch but think he's going to do a job for us from what I saw tonight. I would end the interest in the swedish guy personally, did very little all night.

Why is that odd? Loft was and is actually quite good, he's just had one shocker of a half hour and gets blamed for it.

That said, you'll be pleased to have noticed that Gully wasn't present tonight....

he could be a good player, just so weak and prob wont make it at 1st team level - he was probably the best player we had on the pitch today, thought he was going to get in a fight with their number 15 with long hair


and your point about gully - i still have NEVER seen Doug Loft and Gully in the same place

Samura, Chippy and Chamberlain were all poor and Elder wasn't much better.
Thought Rents and Elphick played extremely well.
The Hassocks number 10 was a little gobshite and clearly suffers from short man syndrome.

he'd been quiet up until getting smacked by carpenter
