I just don't think Bivol did anything to win the fight. Flimmy flammy boxing, landing maybe but hurting? No. Beterbiev threw lots more and missed more, but landed enough and hurt his opponent more. Front foot, stronger and deserved the win. Just my opinion.

Bivol was the better boxer by far. The majority of people & pundits thought it was bivols. The only people who matter scored it to beterbiev

Bivol was the better boxer, I agree, but he lost the fight. But yes both Eddie and Frank thought Bivol won it, so he must have🤣

I clocked Putin's friend Ramzan at the end and I knew they were going to give it to Artur. I had Bivol winning by 3 rounds.

Whilst the debate on the scoring for the main bout, may be a bone of contention for years. I thought I would take a look and see if anything further was said about the Ben Whittaker "injury". I have looked and have yet to find anything meaningful.

There are a few loons on twitter claiming he pulled his opponent out of the ring. This just sounds like complete nonsense. There maybe should have been more tension on the top rope, but the momentum, came from the man moving forward rather than the man walking backwards.

As many have pointed out, there was no obvious signs of his ankle twisting, or his foot getting trapped, which is not to say there wasn't an injury, but you would have thought that he would be keen to set the record straight on this one.

Conor Benn is a bit of a knob isn’t he.

The Whittaker ankle injury doesn't look like much with no visible swelling or bruising and some light strapping on his ankle. Plus he was able to get into an altercation at the airport. He has a lot to prove in a rematch.

Conor Benn is gambling on earning a lot of money, based off his old man's reputation and putting up a brave performance against a much bigger man. Eubank also knows this is easier money than chasing titles. Logically the size difference is insurmountable unless you are a brilliant defensive fighter, but the cynic in me thinks this will be a controversial best of three encounter designed to squeeze the maximum cash out of gullible punters. Eddie Hearn must be tempted to get involved now he barely has a toehold on serious boxing

Chris Eubank Junior isn't much better.

Unfortunately this fight looks like its going to happen, in Saudi, in Feb, but the PPV buys* will be probably more about entertainment seekers than boxing purists.

*Eddie Hearn says a million, but I'd be surprised if they get anywhere near that.

I’ve no interest in Benn v Eubank and am not paying to watch it.

Now that’s something I never thought I’d say 30 years ago.

I love being excited and willingly hyped up to a big fight (Dubois vs Joshua most recently) but this feels too forced, even for boxing. I just don’t give a shit and don’t like either of them, or hate either of them, enough to pay any interest. I’ll stream this one disinterestedly

On the quite superb Talksport Drivetime show they had Whittakers opponent on, seemed like a decent down to earth guy, beard no malice towards Whittaker but thought he was very much on too and would have won the fight. Said he thought the fact Whittaker exited in a wheelchair was 'bizzare' and confirmed there would be a rematch soon. He's also signed up to Warrens cohort.

Of the two, I thought Eubank came across the best when they had their ding dongs. But you’re right, he made an absolute wally of himself with his scum bags speech.

Hearn is absolutely flying , teaming up with Saudi and Warren etc

It's only Sky he's not involved
Sure he is there for now, but so many of his fighters have been beaten of late, who is he going to promote?
Jai Opetaia is world class, Buatsi is useful. Who am I missing?

For all the world it looked like Warren was sitting very comfortably at the top table on Saturday, watching Bivol take another loss for Matchroom. The thing is I don't think any of these guys owe matchroom anything (maybe Buatsi).
