Under the grill but as low down as you can get it, turning frequently.

Oven works well too, nothing worse that sloppy rashers.

Usually have this Sunday morning, making some bread Saturdat just for that.

Yes, slow grilling appears to the way forward. Can't think if anything else that works well slow grilled - maybe cheese on toast.

I found a nice way of doing sausages too.

I've discovered cooking them in pressure cooker from frozen (they puff up like a German long one) and finishing off in a frying pan produces the happiest finish.

Cook it and put it between two pieces of buttered bread. If you want to get more sophisticated with embellishments then feel free.

I like using the grill at medium for sausages too, turning them 2 or 3 times.

Funny thing is, we eat bacon or sausages once or twice a year, probably on health/weight grounds. This mouth watering thread is about to change that.
