As an alternative to the numerous ticket threads and "other" threads, who is your favourite three piece band (by this I mean those who play thier own instruments, not vocal groups).

Having played in serval bands with different line-ups, I always found 3-pices bands worked best for me as a player.

Being older than most, I would guess, than most who post on here (58 and counting), No question it is Cream.The original supergroup, in that it was the three best musicians of their day coming together, with the superb Clapton arguably being the least gifted of the three. Jack Bruce could hold his own as a bassist (electric or double) in any company.
