Who remembers Neville Southall for Torquay back in the early, early days at Withdean? He was absolutely AMAZING! Didn't they beat us 1-0 and he was man of the match? And then the season after we destroyed them 6-2.

I do. He seemed to defy all the laws of science concerning reactions and big men.

At the other end of the pitch, Dean Ashton of Crewe destroyed us.

Fair enuff if that's how you remember events that night, but I couldn't disagree with you more. I thought (Ireland) he was everywhere meself & he single-handedly kept Citeh in the game - as the rest of their big-shots floundered. Hey ho. We'll have to agree to disagree innit.

I remember Big Nev taking hours for his goal kicks and so on. He really did pull off a thoroughly decent professional performance at the ripe old age of 68.

Possibly the best keeping display I have seen at Withdean. We peppered their goal from start to finish and he performed like a man half his age.

I seem to remember James Milner playing a large part in ensuring Swindon came away with a 2-2 draw.

The four/five pronged attack of Wigan was pretty special. Blew us apart in the opening 5 minutes.

Milner would be the one who I would suggest also he was only 17 at the time I believe.
