Best nightclub in Brighton - the poll

My clubbing nights are over now. I just don't see the point of it anymore, especially this last week putting things into perspective.

I run Holdup which is the Indie night on saturdays at life (formerly the arc), cheers for the comments we have been going 7 years now and have a couple of cracking guests lined up for later in the year.


Used to have some decent guest a few years back. Remember Pete Doherty & Howard Nice doing guest slots.

Probably went too often because it got to the point where i was hearing the same records every week, so I have gone for Funky Fish.

Haven't been to a nightclub in Brighton since The Underground shut (my favourite club anywhere) apart from once for a mates birthday to The Ocean Rooms (which was f***ing dire).

The Basement was the best nightclub in Brighton, but closed in the late 90's and, in my opinion, has never been bettered.

I don't know about other places but Stonelove at digital plays all indie music with lots of 80's stuff (The Clash, The Cure, The Smiths, Rolling Stones etc etc)

for the modfather, last year we had kevin rowland and terry hall amongst others, watch out for one in october which im sure you will like.

I went for Life.. Vice Social, Shameless and Holdup are the best nights around.

Much better crowd and ambience than Digital also.

Also 5 or 6 of the brighton team turned up last week and were a total credit to your club, polite blokes with excellent manners, however they were shit dancers to the kings of leon

However i didnt let in nicky forster who turned up with jermaine beckford about a month ago

went to Life for first time last night,pretty decent...and packed solid
