Seen some shockers though...

Suede and Iggy Pop to name a couple.

However my worst live big name band award goes to New Order closely followed by U2.

If there was an award for still can't stand them but grudgingly admit that they pissed over most bands live:

The Beautiful South.

Difficult call but Led Zeppelin - Earls Court '75 shade it for me, absolutely majestic. They hadn't played the UK for 3 years, had the whole world at their feet at that time and proved why in 3 hours of supreme musical talent and showmanship. No poncey lasers, just a simple light show, a mega sound system and boy could they play live. No interval just Bonham doing Moby Dick and an acoustic set thrown in, all sandwiched by two sets of their best stuff.

Congratulations to the runners up:
The Who at Charlton
Pink Floyd - Wembley Stadium
Bruce & E St Band - Brighton Centre
Dr Feelgood - various
The Hamsters - various
Ry Cooder
U2 - Top Rank Suite

If I have to chose just one, then Queen at Knebworth

I was blown away by U2 at the New Regent sometime in 1980 though, playing to an audience of 16.

After that... Jam, Stranglers, Genesis, too many to list.

Hello Cornish, how you doing, must meet up again soon.
No particular order,
David Bowie and the Spiders from Mars
T Rex
Ian Dury and the blockheads
The Crusaders with Randy Crawford
Maze featuring Frankie Newport
These might not count but the band members behind Stevie Wonder and Luther Vandross they always selected the best musicians and they were outstanding.

Difficult very difficult but

For pure charisma the guy was so cool it was unbelievable - Eric Clapton
One man show - David Bowie
For pure fun - Dread Zepplin
But the best was Queen

Other mentions go to The Pixies, Pink Floyd and Rush

Most disappointing U2 and Genesis
