And the worst .... 1-0 defeat at Carlisle. We honestly travelled up full of optimism, and 15 mins in we were 1-0 down and looking shite, wondering why on EARTH we had made the trip.
Southend away 2nd season for Micky Adams in charge i think, one of mates couldn't make it and we sold his ticket to guy in a pub on the seafront. At the game, said guy ran on to the pitch when the keeper was just about to take a goal kick and leathered the ball into the net.....
August 1977, BHA 3 Miillwall 2, Millwall led 2-0 at halftime. Chucked with rain, it was the last season before proper away fan segregation and F-Troop were not happy.
Great day on the piss that was, remember the foresters pub on the seafront packed with Brighton watching the stripper !
As a match, that Donnie game wasn't a classic by any means. Dramatic ending of course, but overall it can't really be described as the best BHAFC match of all time. It was brilliant, but not because of the football !
This for me,errrr, 1999. back in Brighton, Hometown boy scores hat-trick in BHA 6-0 win. Lovely sunny day. Doesn't take 4 hours to travel to a home game. Nice ice cream at half time. What could be better?

Donny would be the most memorable for the stadium related memories, but the best performance for me would be 1984/5 when we went to Carlisle, getting up at about 5am, and won 3-0. Frank Worthington made his debut, and we played them off the park.
no mate ,they were thrown into the stand didn't brighton then climb over the segregation into no mans land as the Southend lot went a bit quiet.Seem to remember at the ground some wheelie bins being lobbed over the wall
they were in the north before the game but got run out , the lot that came over from the west went onto the east terrace ,after the game they got terrorised ........only what i got told from some one who was thereoxford mid 70's,seem to remember the oxford fans running from the chicken run to the west before the game
obviously fancied a look at the north stand, but changed their minds mid-invasion
on the road,probably west ham
