Oh my ,i had this spent hours of fun ,then i lent it to a mate and never saw it again. The said mate now owns Asian logic [Asia's head poker company] which is a parent company of Dafabet . Tom now is worth a reputed 1.5 Billion Us DollarsI always remind him of my Astro wars when he is back in the UK.

Bizarre - I'd never heard of Whot until I saw a Harry Potter version in TK Maxx the other day and bought it for my son.
(* - as is stands, he'll not be getting it as I left a bag of Christmas shopping on the train when I got back to Worthing and I doubt I'll be seeing it again)
Like many families in the 60s we didn't have a pot to pee in, my Dad's mate built me a Garage for the few Matchbox cars I had, it was so detailed and I loved it, at the time I don't think I really appreciated the toil and craftsmanship that must have gone into it.

Ah, pure joy. I was 3. First book I can remember being read to me (couplets included). A few years later, they were the books (I got one each Christmas) that got me reading. Sadly in recent years they have changed the format. I guess I have more than 70 of them now (including some from the 30s and 40 I bought for a few quid in Brighton in the late 70s). Christmas WAS the Rupert annual for me.
I've got that very annual in the loft somewhere. I also got 1 each Xmas.

Star Wars stuff but most memorable was the year I got a Spiderman costume and my first BMX. I went everywhere on that bike. I loved it. It was like a first taste of freedom.

Best was toy FN rifle which "fired" plastic bullets and which probably put me on the path to using an SLR later in life! Most cherished present, though, is the Albion scarf Mum bought me for what would be her last Xmas, 2010. Something like 45 years separates those presents, but the feelings surrounding each of them remain strong.
