have to go with kuipers as I am too young to know/remember the older keepers (moseley etc)

kuipers has to be the best keeper the albion have had in my life time or mark beeney although again I cant remember him in an albion shirt (can recall his time at leeds)

Actually as I've included Powney I think that should read "last 40 years"

Ohh far too difficult to choose.. Maybe this should have been done with 3 seperate rounds of four keepers to chose from, leading to a final 3 at the end. I would say Moseley but that would be pandering to hearsay as I was quite young when he played and can hardly remember him.. I'll have to go with Kuipers with Digweed a close second.

BTW there are two (possibly three) jokers in that pack. See if you can guess which ones.
Clue: They are all next to each other in the list. :lolol:

Beeney was class for me. I'm not a fan of Howard Wilkinson but he did buy him for Leeds for a final total of half a mill....saving us cos we needed the cash and much respect to Howard and the favour he did his old club.

Excuse me - but where is Eric, Eric, Eric Steele?

He'd get my vote if only for the Marx Bros impressions in front of the North Stand before every game.

Happy Days !:)

Kuipers by default for me, not seen the older ones.

And I asked him a question in assembly when he came to Steyning Grammar a couple of weeks after the Albion won promotion to the First Division.

Michel, mainly as I'm too young to have seen any better.

Though Roberts too is excellent, but Kuipers was outstanding this season and that pusts him just ahead.

Eric Steele should have been in the poll.

Went for Moseley. 4 years in the top division.

Corrigan is the best player in that poll but Man City got the best out of big Joe.

I've only included players who have, at some point in their Albion career, had the majority of appearances as goalkeeper in one season. I believe, although Eric Steele was with us for a few years, he was never the most picked in any one season.
As you will notice, I also haven't included Will Packham, Mark Patterson or the great Tony Meola!

I can't comment on the last 30 years, but out of the last 17, I'm going for
1)Keeley
2)Beeney
3)Kuipers

a special mention for Digweed who I never thought was particularly good, but he did have a great season when we made the play off finals, especially that wonderful penalty save against Chris Kiwomya in the Ipswich game.

Peter Grummitt for me: an outstanding keeper, just shades it over Mark Beeney.
