It says he was looking to spend about £5k a month!

If you're supposed to put half of your monthly pay packet towards rent, he's a bit of a cheap ass isn't he. Imagine he'd be on at least £20,000 a week.

... which is about £10,500 after tax and NI, so he's not that far short of 50%

A month, not a week...

so he's at least earning £40,000 a month, and only spending £5,000 on rent?

Drinks on Brazilian Bernie!

To be fair, most people don’t retire at the age of 35 or in some cases even younger so it is probably wise not to be splashing 50% of his wages on rent... Especially if he has no need for a bigger place.

I don't think this means anything, but found this online
http://news.thesincuragroup.com/brighton-bernardo-fernandes-da-silva-jr/page/1

All it confirms is that he has had a look at property in the area, but that could just be him doing his research before deciding anything.

Link no longer works.

Guessing someone there might be in a bit of trouble for letting that get on to Google! I doubt their clients are keen to see their personal business being so easy to find.

Does look like this has legs though.

That twitter account only has 6 followers. Not sure that there's anything 'new' in the article either.

We probably are moving closer, but I wouldn't necessarily take this as concrete evidence of the fact.

All the tweet does is link through to https://www.90min.de/posts/6109095-bericht-bernardo-transfer-zu-brighton-hove-albion-rueckt-naeher

which then links to https://www.bild.de/sport/fussball/1-bundesliga/transfer-ticker-sommer-2018-55480722.bild.html

Look at the 09:47 entry...

It is not their own work so perhaps 6 followers isn't that relevant ? ???

Apologies - you're right. When I clicked the link, it took me to a site owned by the twitter account (FussballJunkies), so I doubted the veracity. It looks like they were passing on the work of others, without referencing them properly. I hate it when websites steal the intellectual property of others.

I should have perhaps linked the original sources rather than just the tweet straight away :)

Anyway, it seems quite positive, which is welcome after the alledged bid knock backs for Moore, O'Connell and Carson.
