that is a very silly thing to do.

I know that Leeds United can't be held responsible for what some of their more stupid fans do, but perhaps the time has come for them to make a statement along the lines of 'we are moving on with our search for a CB. We wish Ben all the best going forwards'.
I'm sure that Amex are quaking in their boots about that threat. I wonder how many of their 'deluded fan base' ( which isn't all of them by some way) have an Amex card anyway?
Leeds must realise ( or certainly should) that this little storm is not going to do them any good in future negotiations about Loan Players.
Love the spelling of assissting! Says it all really.

Good business for 30m?+, not to Leeds though we won't strengthen a team facing a relegation battle.

If a top club comes in then we should certainly cash in, providing we keep Dunk of course.

Striker is our priority, we don't need Ben White.

Agree totally. Unless the club say something sensible about this utter knobbery being played out on social media, #FreeBenWhite, Freebenwhite.com and the stupid chatter about boycotts etc, LUFC will become THE club to avoid in regards to loaning players out. In fact, I think they have done that already, twats. Season's not started yet and they've shot themselves in the foot. :lolol:

£30m would be terrible business.

As would selling one of the hottest properties around.

Don't get ahead of yourself, it's clear you'd like to keep him but he's not the Messiah.

Owes us very little, his value in reality is lower than that in this window. Potential is just that, until it's realised.

There hasn't really been much mention of what an odd move it would be for Ben White, the player, if he did go to Leeds.

At best, it would be a sideways move in his career, and a huge gamble that they would have a higher chance of staying up next year than us. Whilst he looked sublime in a winning team in the league below, would he look the same in a losing one in the PL? We would be the safer bet on paper having survived in the Premier League for the last three seasons. The only positive for him in the whole hypothetical deal is he's already quite liked and admired at Leeds. You'd be a bit mad though if, at the first opportunity you have to move to the top level in your career, you decide to stay at a similar level because you've made a couple of new mates over the last year.

If Liverpool and Chelsea are really interested and happy to pay our asking price, him not signing a contract yet makes perfect sense. It would be far more of a gamble in the long term for him to stay with us before entertaining the real possibility of move to a Champions League club.

What I think or him as a player is irrelevant.

Selling an asset for cut price when English players are sold at a premium and when his value could quite easily double or treble after a season or two would be an appalling decision. And to sell him to a potential rival would be equally silly.

Take emotion out of it. This is business.

Answer this.

Why are you so keen to sell Ben White?

What English talent do you suppose we could bring in for this £30m windfall that would be as good or as exciting a prospect?

The Albion are playing a blinder here new season less that 5 weeks away and we have already recruited well and looking to strengthen further. The Ben White situation is just not a priority for us as we have depth and he is under contract.

Meanwhile Leeds and their fans are desperately waving their hands and knocking on the clubs doors desperate for our player to join them just to stand still. The white signing could also be one of these mysterious demands Bielsa is apparently making before signing his contract which would just be even funnier.

Can see this running for another couple of weeks so squeaky bum time for our Yorkshire friends

Tick tock, tick tock the PL start is very close now

Well, that's just silly. If we keep hold of him, we're not trafficking him, we're taking him hostage. It would be trafficking if we sold him, surely?

(accepting of course someone willingly honouring their contract is not 'taking him hostage', and transfer dealings are an accepted practice of consensual trading of registration and not human trafficking)

And to keep banging the same old drum, Bielsa still hasn't signed a contract. They should be far more worried about that the way they're beatifying him than starting ridiculous campaigns against Amex of all people. If that contract negotiation has stalled because they can't sign Ben White then Leeds are more screwed than I thought they were. Plus, why would Ben White go to Leeds when Bielsa could bugger off on a whim and he gets lumbered with another Steve Evans character as manager? The way things are at the moment, he'd be settling into a proven group of Premier League players, Potter has already said he's in the picture for the first team, the club rate him highly with the previous contract. Job done. All the rest is hot air. Don't get me wrong, it's amusing to witness in how cringe worthy it all is, but I'm not in the slightest bit worried.

Eagerly anticipating the squad training photos appearing next week on Twitter and the club going complete shithouse:

1. Picture of Ben White exercising or running on his own, with a number 3 on his training top, with the caption “Three - Ben White”

2. Picture of Ben and Aaron Connolly doing a thumbs up pose or similar, with the caption “Best friends reunited”

Cut price at 30m? You're as bad as the LUFC mob. He is barely worth 25m during this window, in reality.

Don't expect we will sell, as per club's position communicated through multiple sources and lack of loan to buy.

Selling to Leeds would be a non-starter, we've rejected this.

However, an offer from a club we aren't competing with, north of 30m should seriously be considered and would represent good business for us during this window.

We don't need Ben White, providing only Shane leaves.
