You seem determined to believe wishful thinking Leeds fans than our own club.

Dale Stephens put in a transfer request three years ago, and Lewis Dunk allegedly refused to play away to Fulham but they're both still here, despite money being offered.

I ****ing hate Leeds. Arrogant club with arrogant fans. BUT defence is foundations of everything and so I believe Leeds will offer what it takes. White will want to stay as he's already been brainwashed (see that Twitter dance to the chants of sign him up). Hope White stays but Ive got my real world reality head on and at the very least there is going to be a bid for him. TB/Ashworth have said White isnt going anywhere. They will hold out for £30M at least plus add ons. Do you really think Leeds won't bid just because the club says he's not for sale? Money talks and they will want to keep White.

Leeds might want him, but they can't/won't offer the £40-£50M it would take, so he will be here next season (unless someone else comes in with that kind of offer).

We made a point of refusing to give Leeds the option to buy at the end of his loan, even to the point of holding up the loan deal, for a reason. We don't intend to sell him.

I just think the fact GP said it in his presser today is very very telling.

If there any doubts over Bens future it’d be platitudes at best or a “no comment” (which he has said before). He was very very definite that he’s happy he’s our player, everyone wins and he’s looking forward to him joining the group next season.

This is as close as we’ll get to official confirmation, I’m now expecting news of a new contract in the window.

They can bid all they want, but they'd be wiser trying to get a striker instead of relying on Bamford, We will say no and keep on saying no.
The only reason BHAFC have mentioned it this morning is because a question was asked at the normal press conference.
I can remember David Stockdale partying with the fans, with a contract on offer, when we got promoted, but he still went to Birmingham. Of course White is celebrating. It's a good thing to have on his CV.

Maybe Leeds will struggle in the Premier League....
Maybe they won't....
£35 million pounds is a lot for a player who has yet to show what he can do at the highest level.
BUT.... it would not be sensible for us to sell to a club that is (at least for the time being) a direct competitor rather than say a Liverpool or Manchester City.

I'm hoping that, before next season starts, Bielsa moves on allowing them to write the sitcom themselves, in 38 episodes.

I've nothing particularly against Leeds as a club, but some of their fans are so wrapped up in the 'Everything about Yorkshire is the best in world' stereotype that they just don't see how they look to the rest of us. They are a biggish club because, unlike most of the largest cities in Northern England, they have only one team. They were successful in the seventies and a little of the nineties, but for the rest of their existence they have been mediocre. They were founded ten years after us and have spent half of their existence outside of the top flight, less seasons than any team representing a large city in the north of England, yet using Yorkshire's largest export, misplaced arrogance, some of their fans have created a myth that allows them to see themselves as being on a par with the top six

I have a good mate who is from Leeds. When I shared a house with him at University he wanted us to shell out from our meagre shared kitty to buy Yorkshire Teabags. I asked him whereabouts on Ilkley Moor the tea plantations were. He also maintained that 'Arry Ramsdens in Leeds is t'best fish & shop in t'world.' 50-60 miles from the nearest sea! As someone who grew up on the coast, I just had to swear at him.

As someone who lived, worked and was married to a Leeds fan, I can assure you the majority of Yorkshire people don't like Leeds.
Leeds fans are arrogant within their own county telling Bradford, Huddersfield, the two Sheffield teams, Middlesborough (before the boundary changes) and Barnsley fans 'There's only one team in Yorkshire'.

Are you a Leeds fan? You don’t seem to grasp business sense here (and we both agree Tony is a don with business). Again think about it:

- why would we sell for £30m? You keep on saying, or assume that’s enough, why? Are we desperate for money?

- why would we sell an asset who is under contract for that price, when his value could potentially double after 1 season? Or if he becomes a superstar even more?

- why is it in our interests to strengthen a relegation rival?

Now i want you to answer the above rather then just say "oh he was celebrating last night, so sorry boys he's going".

If Leeds offered him more in wages and were prepared to pay us what we want he will be off like a shot. I don”t know what money he is currently on but suspect we will have to up the anti to keep him happy at the Amex.

This! It's not rocket science and the arrogance of some of our fans is astonishing. Money talks and if the money is right for our club and for him personally he will be off like a shot!

Apart from the fact that this is winding Leeds fans up, which is fun to watch, having Ben White here for next season is not top of my agenda for players I would like to see playing for the Albion next season. A quality striker and a goal scoring midfielder are currently more important to me. This may come back to bite me if Dunk leaves, but if he doesn’t I am a bit Meh about it. There I said it

If White is more interested in staying with us he would not have been doing this. Yes he's signed a contract but it means nothing if enough money is offered -

Well, if an on-loan centre half is celebrating promotion, there can be no doubt that he'll be joining that club next year can there? Who's that behind Sidwell & Kayal again?

Where’s the arrogance? This is business sense. Forget football.

Ok, so what is the value we would sell at then? Because I can tell you I’m willing to bet £30m would not be enough.

As I've said before clubs that have ambitions of establishing themselves as top 10 sides don't sell their most promising youngsters to the first club to show an interest. There is zero upside for us selling now, we won't get a decent fee and we will lose out on his potential.

We've got established pathways to the first team for youngsters, we've taken a player from Chelsea because he knew he'd get more game time here and Chelsea are a bigger club than Leeds. We've cut short a loan deal for a player with Boca Juniors to bring back a player and Boca Juniors are as a big as you can get for an Argentinian.

We didn't sell Knocky to Newcastle, Dunk to Fulham or Stephens to Burnley when they came calling and we won't be selling White to Leeds. They won't bid anywhere near enough to tempt us, I doubt we'd even pick up the phone to say no to £30 million. The big clubs won't pay what we want either at the moment as he's not proven at this level. Why would we accept £30 million now when he could be worth at least double that in a few seasons time when he reaches his peak. This is a carefully managed plan and him celebrating with his Leeds team mates and their fans doesn't change that, it just shows he's achieved what we set out for him this season, to develop as a player and get experience as high up the Championship as he could.

Gone are the days of us being excited we've promoted a Dan Marney or a Shaun Wilkinson to the first team, our desire now is to develop players to play for our first team in the Premier League and next season we will be adding Ben White to that list.

Agree with all of that - but - ultimately every player has a price tag. No idea what figure would be huge enough to tempt Uncle Tony, or whether anybody would pay it (personally I think it's unlikely), but undoubtedly that figure exists somewhere way up there.

Totally agree with this ... very easy to be conned into thinking something different in the moment due to the arrogance and desperation of the Dirty Leeds fans.

I M O I don't think Leeds could afford him. That squad needs money spent on it just to secure safety, Leeds fans thinking that they will be top 10 is laughable with the squad they have.
Unless they are going to spend the entire premier tv money for their first season back.
