Leeds fans seem to be united in saying that a third rejection and/or anything over £25m is too much.
Well a bit of bad news for you........https://www.theargus.co.uk/sport/18665806.ben-white-remains-not-sale-leeds-bid/

Anyone else see a parellel with United and Sancho? You know they cant afford him yet they keep seem to try to somehow wooo him to their team and Dortmund will suddenly capitulate and give in to the mighty Man United. It wont happen and Dortmund arent that club with no money anymore. It is like watching a poodle rutting some poor guy in a suit going to a meeting.

I see it and the best bit is that apart from not offering Dortmund enough to buy him, they also offered him a pay cut to join the mighty Utd!

He played that role a lot more last season whenever Phillips was injured/banned also i gleaned from Bielsa talking on those occasions he saw that as his future position. I think the last game i saw him play for Brighton he was playing DM I could be wrong though.

I think he played there twice. The first time he moved back to defence. Could be wrong. Sure the numerous Leeds fans can correct me.
Second game was post lockdown and was a stroll for Leeds. He did okay, but he's not a CM.

bielsa said that was ben's best position....... but what does that old soak know

Don't recall Bielsa ever saying that...if he did then perhaps he was drunk at the time?

What I do recall is the games that he played in that role were his worst performances of the season by some distance

Don't know where this obsession with CBs playing CM comes from on here. Lawrenson maybe?
People call for Dunk to play there even!

Way more than twice Phillips got suspended and injured a fair bit i would guess around 6 games including the last two.

Leeds were never interested in buying Ben.

Why else put in three bids that don't even come close to the parent clubs price evaluation of him unless it's just to make it look like you tried.

They are playing the unsettling, trying to get the player to demand a transfer,...or else. I dont think they know they are dealing with Tony Bloom.

So it would seem...although still plenty of time for Ben and his agent to “orchestrate” a move away I guess [emoji6]

Wink wink, nudge nudge.

Seriously, I think it’s that time where you walk to the net and shake hands, or you coach throws in the towel, or you leave your cue and shakes hands with the opponent.

I’ve not doubted for one moment that White would be with us next season but it‘s been a fun rollercoaster ride of bantz seeing you lot with your daft campaigns and theories.

Time for you to tuck yourself up, close your eyes and think of Koch instead of your White dream.

Looking forward to playing you lot, one of the unwritten rules of football is that Ben will score against you. Don’t take it too hard old boy.

All of it like everything makes rests on the assumption that Ben wants to move away, there is absolutely zero evidence he does, in fact he just bought a house for 900k next to the training ground, not the actions of a want away desperate to escape.
Ben's agent is doing what he can to maximise his clients contract, that's his job. You couldn't for even one second consider could you, that the whole Leeds thing is merely leverage to bump up contract offers...... Get Leeds to bid to bump up his value and hos contract offers, how many times have you seen players agents, flirting with suitors merely to get increased contract offers at parent club....... This is all a game, he will sign here......... oh no, couldn't happen to Leeds, not under Bielsa, every player wants to play for mighty Leeds.

You've just been used again, its becoming a habit.

It wont make the slightest difference, lets just imagine Leeds fantasy claims for arguments sake and add in Blooms previous track record.

White "I want to leave, I dont want to play for you anymore"
Brighton "Are you sure Ben as we had plans for you with our PL first team"
White "Yes I love Leeds, Bielsa is the best coach ever and I miss my best friend kalvin"
Brighton "No club has met our valuation, and you hav 2 years + a 1 year option, We are not prepared to sell you this summer, especially to a newly promoted rival club"
White: "But I insist, I'm Leeds through and through, I just cant play for you anymore"
Brighton "You are in our PL plans Ben"
White " Well I refuse to play for you as I want to March on together"
Brighton "Ok, well thats unfortunate, seeing as we had every plan of you being in our first team and with you just buying a 900k house and your best friend Aaron being here, but OK if you really are sure you dont want to play in our PL first team, we can put you back in the U23's or loan you back to the championship until somebody meets our valuation, you will of course be free to leave this hell hole for mighty Leeds in 3 years"

How ridiculous does it even sound, yet they want to believe its possible.

Also if it even came to us having to sell it wouldnt be to them.

But...

"pLaYeR pOwER"

"cOnTrAcTs meAn nOtHiNg tHeSe dAyS"

"pUt iN A tRaNsFeR rEqUeSt"

"rEfUsE tO pLaY"

These Leeds numpties don't seem to understand that you need some leverage to even dare going that route. For instance:

1. Being on Neymar's wages. That would certainly be a financial worry sitting on the bench.

2. Being missed in the first team. He's not in the first team at the moment so can't be missed.

3. Having 1 year left on your contract. May as well sell now than lose him in a year on a free.

None of these things apply.

Bloom can sit back and let him play on his current contract.
But I doubt that's going to happen unless Ben and his agent are completely unreasonable.
I'm sure he'll get a decent contract in line with Connolly's and Alzate's. Probably more because he's going to sell some shirts now and has made a name for himself.
I just hope he can handle the pressure. I think he will. In fact I think he thrives on pressure.
He's knocked it out the park at every level as far as I can tell.

The thing that annoys me is thinking back to when we could have recalled him during the winter break when we needed players.
But we told Leeds they could hold onto him. They might not have been promoted without him
.

Whatever, in Bloom we trust.
