That's what all potential incoming players need to consider.

I had heard Eddie Howe if Bielsa runs. Might have been on this forum. Not sure if it was a joke or genuine.

It was both joke (in the real world) and genuine (in la la land)

Leeds fan tweeted they should get Eddie Howe in under Bielsa to manage their U23's

I saw that haha and they said it would be great for him to experience a big club under somebody like Bielsa

They are by far the most deranged supporters I have come across

I’ve just had the misfortune of reading the Leeds fans’ replies to that tweet. Utter, utter bellends of the highest order. Blue coat guy clearly being a **** - flat cap old man behind shouts **** off, and fella in wheelchair a **** too gobbing off. Throw in the classic Leeds / Northern homophobic tweets and you have Leeds Utd. God, what a bunch of utter scumbags. All because Brighton are a bigger club with a better team now too, and won’t just let them have a player below our valuation. Scum.

Really hope we push on next season and I’ll now have 2 teams I want to lose every week in that division.

That was my tweet and I came into contact with some pretty unpleasant people over the next few days.

Yes, Leeds also achieved Category 1 status with their academy this year. They also achieved this without EPL TV revenues and without significant investment from a billionaire owner.

Oh but investment on facilities and infrastructure and losses on the balance sheet can only apply to Brighton though? sorry.

Well done you.... and given that the point was that we had to build a stadium and training centre from scratch why is this relevant? Or did your Category 1 application require that you build a second Elland Road? You know nothing about our club's finances and cherry picking headlines and hoping for the worst case scenario will not change the fact that Tony Bloom does not have to sell. You are George Costanza. You have no hand:

"Ben White looks likely to stay at Brighton, so who will leave?

Potter's seven centre-backs are worth over £100m collectively but he will likely only need five. #BHAFC | [MENTION=14853]@ AndyNaylorBHAFC"

Duffy sold/loaned and Clarke loaned is the most obvious answer to that question.

I know that 'over £100m' could, technically, mean eg £700m, but if it was £112m you'd probably say 'over £110m' etc. So looking at 'over £100m', when some reports say Ben White is £55m, and Dunk is £40. Bit of a slap in the face for the other 5 centre-backs that their combined total worth is considered probably £5-10m.

I doubt he put much thought into the total.

FWIW:

Dunk £45m
White £40m
Duffy £10m
Webster £20m
Veltman £10m?
Clarke £15m
Burn £8m

about £150m, conservative estimate.

Ok mate, and you have a thread on Leeds fans being deluded? Brighton is more famous for having a pier and a large homosexual population than it is for it’s football team.

Yeah, I don't get all this howling from NSC over this. Leeds seem to be being pretty sensible over it. Admitted it was a long shot to start, tried a few bids and will move on it seems. What is wrong with that? Both clubs seem to have been fine over it. I do not get why people on here are so upset with them!?

I think it’s more their fans although their CEO is a bit out of order talking about our player to the press.

Upset? Or laughing, as a sport, in silly season.

Yep, Brighton though historically East Sussex is bang in the middle of Sussex (bearing in mind almost all residents of Sussex are on the coast).

Apart from the ones in Crawley, Horsham, Southwater, Broadbridge Heath, Petworth, Midhurst, Arundel, Billingshurst, Haywards Heath, Burgess Hill, Lewes, Uckfield, Heathfield, Battle, Crowborough, Robertsbridge, East Grinstead, Steyning, Storrington, Pulborough, Polegate, Hailsham, Wadhurst, Flimwell, Chichester, Mayfield and every village in between, obviously :)
