To be fair to him, it’s Kevin Phillips, not Kalvin Phillips and he actually says the fee for Sancho is “absolutely ridiculous “ not the untrue anyway bid for Ben White. Ben Whites Dee is on the high side, apparently.

Heard it goes on a lot in dressing rooms when players meet up for Internationals, or at tournaments. Player A gets asked to test the water with Player B about whether he'd fancy a move to his club just to "get the ball rolling", and if the response is positive on it goes from there.

I can well believe that goes on quite routinely.

I definitely believe this happens all the time.

I also believe Ben White would be happy either way tbh. Leeds or Brighton.
And it must feel amazing to be part of a championship winning squad and have the social media following and celebrity he has been experiencing.

But at the end of the day Brighton are in the driver's seat and Ben White seems like he has his head on his shoulders.
Be silly to start any antics at this stage of his career.
And Brighton won't be pushed around.

I also have to add that I think the Leeds board absolutely have to look like they are trying their hardest.
They couldn't have said to the rabid Leeds fans anything like "we're not going to try going for Ben White".

I also think White will want to maintain a good relationship with Leeds fans.
