Remember when Abdul Razak looked like we’d signed prime Yaya Toure? One championship game, ONE.

‘Better than Dunk was in the championship’

:lolol:

To make a fair comparison, White turns 22 in 3 months, so this season is the equivalent for him as Dunk's 13/14 (I think) season, in which he was still only back-up to Greer and Upson and was loaned out to Bristol City for a short spell.

Thanks for that, watched some of the game but didn’t catch all of those bits. Looks an outstanding talent. On that showing suspect he’ll be back with us next season - hope it continues

Could be we never see him in the first team. He may be that good that after a season with Leeds one of the big six comes calling and we cash in and would not stand in his way of a dream move, but he is still young and consistency may prove a problem. Either way it is a win win for the club. We have five centre backs that could walk into the first team and that does not include Balogun. With the price of centre backs spiralling happy days for Brighton all ways round.

Or Leeds go up, and we go down...

Think in that case we’d be more likely to cash in on Dunk and Duffy and keep White for ourselves.

If White has had a great year, and is loving it in Leeds, it would be hard to get him back here (in a lower division) happy and settled.

We'd end up taking a big chunk of their PL windfall for him, if that (horrible) outcome panned out.

Those long diagonals look very familiar , very pleased for him , hopefully the switch has been well and truly turned on for those wondering why we have the need for a academy in the first place .

Glad the club got him to sign a long contract before loaning him out, hopefully he'll have an outstanding season for Leeds.
It's not that long a contract - this year and next season ( but I suspect we'll have a secret further year option ).

Seems we have the next generation of CB all lined up and ready to go.
White Clarke and Webster all 3 with massive potential. Heard fans of all 3 clubs they have played for previously or on loan talk about future England internationals
Both Clarke and white looked really good in opening championship weekend if they can do that for a whole season it won’t be long until the ease Duffy and burn out next year as the ball playing CB that potter likes. I assume Webster if pretty decent if we got him in to allow these 2 out on loan.

Recall in January?

We have some fine coaches down there in lancing

Season-long loan, can’t recall ?

Only mildly speculating, doubt we would, but Leicester took Barnes back from wba last January, on what was a season long loan

You CAN recall from a season-long loan in January - if it was included in the loan agreement in the first place.

We have no idea whether such a clause exists in White's case.

Agreed - on the basis it was confirmed as a season-long loan I was just assuming that it was 'without recall'. Will only know if we try to do so in the next window I guess.

Regardless of whether it's possible, unless there's a CB crisis, we won't take him back if they consider it may hinder his development.
