No and I'm not sure there has been any official comment that we have tried to sign him. In fairness he looks to be playing at too high a level for us to be even competing for his signature. We don't pay the going rate for Championship forwards, Barber admitted this not so long ago didn't he?

Our forwards are signed from League One clubs or abroad.

We had this problem, with Baldock last season, with offers. He signed on 27th August for us.

We didn't clear out enough after last seasons shambles - you have to ask why we are still stuck with Holla, Jfc, cog, colunga etc etc - probably because they are on big contracts and no-one will take them- last seasons transfer dealings has set us back a couple of seasons
