Oh. Boy.

We've got a new starter today in our office, and within 58 minutes he's already caused a STIR. And the reason?

He's brought in his own MINI FRIDGE to house his lunch, and has plugged it in next to his desk. I'm not yet sure if this has strayed into bell cheese territory, or whether it's just plain odd.

Magnificent :clap2: :clap2:

I wholeheartedly applaud his oddness.

The freak :clap2:

I presume the fridge has a transparent door? Can you see what he's keeping in it? Can you take a PHOTO?

Wonderful stuff.

Oddness is a wonderful thing at work.

We have a Kate, William and George calendar (Daily Mail, naturally) hanging up around our desk space (underneath a pink ostrich, well, I think it's an ostrich) which on the odd occasion is noticed by someone not in our circle of trust causes a raised eyebrow and a look to suggest that we are all weird. I love it when that happens as no-one knows if its serious or not and we always pretend we are. I have to say this years calendar is a disappointment as there aren't enough pictures of Kate.

Perhaps your new recruit is playing the same game. Especially if it contains a can of Stella.

That fridge needs to be filled up with random items on a daily basis.........'Sorry, I didn't think you'd mind - the doctor asked me to keep the sperm sample cold until I could bring it in to the clinic' etc

Can we make this a GAME? 4 guesses each.

I'm going for:

1. Coke ZERO
2. A yoghurt
3. A cheese sandwich
4. A two-finger kit-kat

Nonononononononono........anyone who takes the trouble to bring in a fridge will be FAR more organised/obsessive :

1. Home made salad, probably with dressing in a separate pot and chunks of ham or chicken in another all to be carefully tossed when the time comes
2. With you on the yoghurt, but it'll be a fancy one
3. Some sort of home made juice/smoothie
4. Butter (for the bread to accompany the salad)

I'm spreading my bets to cover any sort of lunch fetishes:

1. An apple
2. A Rustler's Microwaveable 'burger'
3. An EGG MAYO sandwich on brown
4. A bottle of 'Quench' flavoured water. or 'Drench'. Whatever it's called, you know what I mean.
