The thought of someone touching my other half makes me feel sick and I believe do as you would be done by so it's a no go BUT flirting to a point is ok, always nice to know you still have it but there is a definate line between fun flirting and going too far

Pointless, if you're not happy with your partner why bother staying with them ? A bit on the side won't do anybody any good in the long run and just causes more stress than it's worth.

I used to meet up with a lady friend at the annual Sage conferences that would be held in Birmingham.
Nothing rude ever happened, we'd just get together, have a few drinks, a laugh and a boogie, breakfast in the morning etc etc but despite that I still felt guilty and never told the mrs about her. Then once you haven't told her there is never a good time to let on as there'll be an inquisition about why you never said anything after the first event if there was nothing to hide.
I think us blokes make things too complicated for ourselves sometimes.

It's natural that even when your'e in a relationship that you'll still meet people that you find attractive both in mind and body. I know I certainly do, and I do sometimes think about whether I would have asked them for a date if I had been single.
I have no desire to act on that though because I'm in a relationship where I love someone and they love you back, which in many ways is where you need to be.
I suppose you get excited about thinking about having an affair, but personally the guilt of actually carrying it out would be too much for my mind to take.

I felt like the complete shit that I was and resolved to never do it again.

I guess though that you would look back sometimes and wonder what if you just took those opportunities that were handed on a plate to you and that, at 67 maybe, there might not be many more quality ones to look forward to
Yes she did and yes she did, eventually.
A lot of heartache along the way, a lot of soul-searching and untold grief.
It all happened about 9 years ago and one thing I would say is that our relationship is stronger now than it has ever been. I can't say that this is down to what happened but it certainly made me think about what I was potentially chucking down the toilet for the sake of a bit on the side.
My advice would be DON'T DO IT.

The way they act, I imagine STD is prevalent.
But this wasn't a question on health but ethics and morality and we have our morality deriving strongly from the Church and that old WASP thing.
Other cultures and nations see things different. The local classic is Francew where having an affair is considered OK and often does a senior politician some good in the polls as well as bed.
