As far as the club is concerned we are children

What we do as away fans reflects on the club from an optics view and, if the FA / Premier League choose to, from a financial view.

This is modern football. It's part of the contract we unconsciously sign when we go to stadiums.

Surprised how many people on here think it's ok to behave like an obnoxious **** at a game and that not being allowed to do so means it will no longer be possible to create the atmosphere needed to support the team. And then take great offence at the club's stance, complaining they are being treated like children. Well, yes. Grow up, for Christ's sake.

Starting to get pissed off with the patronising emails coming from the club.

First they send you a shit email if your season ticket seat is empty, having partly created the situation themselves by only allowing tickets to be passed onto a MyAlbion+ Member.

Now this warning that we're all being watched at away games.

You can also put your ticket up for sale on the exchange if you are unable to pass on to a MyAlbion+ member.

Oh don't get me wrong, I agree. Football should be a place we can let loose a bit.

But some people are wankers. And some of those wankers will take it too far.

They’re not asking us to whisper and clap politely if something exciting happens. They’re not trying to sanitise the atmosphere, but also it’s not the 1970/80s any more.

Players and club staff regularly praise the atmosphere from away support, there’s no need for that to change, coked up and pissed up morons contribute nothing to the atmosphere.

Very much this and I suspect all those complaining about the club message are in the latter and also the ones banging on about the home atmosphere and trying to lecture us all about the manner in which we should watch football. They are going to get a nasty shock when the safe standing area in the North doesn't turn it into the Dortmund home end.

What is it about Fulham that attracts our prime twats? One of Potter's last games was a complete nightmare. Five lads utterly wankered ( and one who looked coked up) spent virtually the whole game throwing abuse and making cut throat gestures to the home fans to our right. Said Fulham fans were mainly families and not remotely interested in ' engaging '. Finally one of my mates lost patience and enquired ' any chance you might actually watch the game ?". To which the coked up one squared up to my mate virtually frothing at the mouth.

Probably the same morons who spent the entire Athens away match trying to goad the Greek fans to our right. They were pretty much uninterested until some of their own morons got wind of it and came over to the Perspex screens.

IMPORTANT MESSAGE TO ALL TRAVELLING SUPPORTERS

The club have received several reports of bad behaviour by Albion fans during our recent away games against Fulham and Leicester City.

Specifically, some supporters have been congregating in large groups in aisles and gangways resulting in dangerous overcrowding which risks injury to themselves and fellow spectators.

We are also aware of other instances of unacceptable behaviour including throwing beer over fellow supporters and surging forward when we score, which has resulted in injury to other fans.

The overwhelming majority of our supporters behave impeccably at away games and the players are grateful for the fantastic backing they receive. We cannot allow the actions of a small minority to spoil the enjoyment of the majority.

We urge all our fans to behave responsibly when representing Albion at away matches.

We will be increasing our own monitoring through extra liaison with other clubs and the vigilance of our own travelling stewards.

The club will not hesitate to impose sanctions on any supporter who misbehaves in future. Possible penalties include a significant loss of loyalty points or stadium bans
