Nope.It really depends what you define as " crowd exuberance" ? And are you actually dismissing ticket sharing as an issue? There is no doubt that the club does need an efficient mechanism by which you can pass on your away ticket if you suddenly can't make the game rather than having to write it off. However, you may recall that when the club decided to come down hard on the ticket sharing it had been prompted by a number of arrests of people who should not have had a ticket. It seemed there was a propensity for tickets to be given to dick heads and all fans ended up paying the price.
The issue persists though.
The main reason was fairness.
Personally I think the club use the system to their advantage when it suits and they refer to arrests related to people with no entitlement to away tickets but no stats, and buying a ticket from a tout isn’t illegal.
