There was clearly no love lost between Beckham and the LA Galaxy fans or even his team mates at last weeks game against NY Red Bulls. Landon Donovan, the LA Galaxy captain, always felt snubbed when Beckham was made captain and now he is captain again he has been very critical about Beckham in a few articles. It seems Beckham has been quite taken aback at the level of hostility but that’s what happens when you try and have it both ways. MLS still has a long way to go but is starting to be taken a bit more seriously in the States. Ljungberg is still playing for Seattle (without all the Beckham hoopla) and there’s talk about Thierry Henry joining in 2010.

I always thought he looked trouble that night he came on for Kanchelskis at the Goldstone.

yeah, you know that rag written by retards with stories about the latest BB housemate to suck cock:nono:

Another newspaper snob!!

Why should the rumours and gossip put in the tabloids be any less creditable than the broad sheets?

Does the Times or Telegraph ever speculate and get it right simple answer no more often than The Sun, Star or Mirror.

Quite frankly who gives a toss about what the Americans think ? If they don't appreciate having a player of Beckhams quality playing for their team, even part time, then they can go and swival :salute:

They know bugger all about football ( NOT soccer ) anyway !!!!

Henry to Seattle isn't wouldn't have been of the question (not that we need him), there was talk of it before we signed Ljungberg (who has turned down several offers of loan moves back to Europe already this summer).

New York are dire this year so they'd need something drastic.

Don't know if someone on here wrote this, but it sums things here up nicely

I think Beckham under-estimated the work ethic and commitment towards the team that US athletes give as standard.

isnt that rather taking one, disgruntled and bitter not being on the same pay, person's opinon and assuming its correct? i've always had Beckham down as a solid pro, was supposedly always last to leave training. the fact he didnt seem to want to be in LA anymore doesnt mean he dropped his standards does it?

f*** me, backing Beckham... maybe the fans realised he's just a one trick pony after all.

Maybe Beckham saw this as an opportunity to make it look like his stay at LA Galaxy is untenable. Wouldn't be surprised if he is released "by mutual agreement" and is signed by a Premier League side or AC Milan.

I'm in two minds over this to be honest.

I always thought Beckham was a bit of a tit for going there, quite obviously to increase his fame.

But then again, the club should be happy they've got a player of calibre for even a third of the season.

Marriage made in hell.

Just buy your way out of the contract becks and come back and play some proper football. Fabio has already said he needs to play in Europe to have chance of playin in SA 2010.

Oddly, he DOES seem to be a galvanizing and attention-grabbing figure for MLS.
The passion of the fans against him, appears to be doing something more for 'soccer' than hitting a precise pass or nailing a free-kick around a wall inside the post.
If spectators didn't give a monkeys for what he did and said about their league, then they wouldn't be making any fuss.

He has made his own bed there though - you don't just belittle and try to get away from your fans and then openly admit to it in another part of the world you'd rather be.
He's evidently not that smart a cookie.

How you can have team harmony when, as the BBC reported, he'll earn £3.3m this season in the MLS, and that with missing games, while some of his team mates pull in £12k per season!?

Beckham should, however, be more worried about Posh's mouth - on the rare occasions that she smiles her top lip dissapears, revealing small teeth that are set too far back.
