We up here eat meat in moderation, mainly eating veggie type food.
So if everyone cut back in eating meat, then I'm sure a difference could be made.

we don't necessarily all need to stop but the more people that stop, or at least cut down the better

Until the Americas consider their red meat addiction (which isn't going to happen anytime soon - see also America and guns) then whatever we do ain't going to make much difference unfortunately

Simple answer is yes. My youngest is driving down our red meat consumption but we still eat it but a lot less than a year ago. Quorm will play a bigger role over the coming years. It's better for the planet and better for your health.

Problem is a lot of our stock is being fed with soya grown on former rain forest.

VAT on all meat would be a good start to curb consumption. Meat is too cheap now
