The drummer Kenny Jones is still alive but the rest are not. Just for the record. My gag went down like a lead zeppelin.

Saw Kenny Jones play this month at The Faces reunion. Him , Rod Stewart and Ronnie Wood. Only did 7 songs like, but all good.
Gig was at Kenny Jones polo club in Surrey to raise money for prostate cancer.

They were a nasty little bunch of Edinburgh yobs, nothing like that cute boy-next-door image they traded on, and with a rather unpleasant manager. Oh yes, and a conviction for kiddie porn..........

Fully agree on Tam Paton, thats well written as well as his ripping them off, but know nothing of them being "yobs" is this documented anywhere?

Surely The Bay City Rollers' greatest claim is that they were paid tribute by one of the UK's finest ever songwriters. Even though he was trying to serve up some old rope to get him out of a record contract he ended up with a number one in Japan:

Lived in Edinburgh at the time........

Kiddie porn well documented - http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/scotland/689234.stm . Can't find any reference to the pedestrian being run down and killed, but definitely remember it.

Well aware of the tragic accident Les had that resulted in a 76 year old woman being a fatality injured, but seen nothing regarding the band being yobs or on the wrong side of the law.

Kiddie porn not far enough n the wrong side of the law for you? OK, you're a fan, obviously. Let's just forgive the boys their little foibles, eh?
