Been expecting this TBH, Onana is shite
What did we pay for Verbruggen? Was it 22m? or something like that?
So an £8m profit on doing the research, taking the risk on him and backing him through his initial bedding in period?
That would be derisory. £45 or £50m. £60m to Man Utd
It doesn't really change my view to be honest. £30m isn't enough to make our model viable. Some signings will inevitably flunk as well£16.3m.
Remember that TB's idea of the "right price" is likely to be very different to what you see reported in tabloidsWell with TB's statement that anyone is for sale at the right price I should reckon all our better players will be off shortly to join those who have already been plundered.

I agree but our revolving door policy means we never seem to have a settled side that can achieve consistency. We are always rebuilding , trying to find players that are potentially as good as those let go , plus our appalling injury and recovery record doesn't help. The top six finish under RDZ was a pinnacle that maybe we will never be able to reach again. Verbruggen is an upgrade on Steele and Joao Pedro on Maupay but not sure about the rest. I'll probably change my mind if we beat VillaRemember that TB's idea of the "right price" is likely to be very different to what you see reported in tabloids
United should realise that even if they are penny pinching, Tony won’t sell for anything less than what he sees as market rate. The fact that others will also be interested will assist in pushing the price up.Under their new penny pinching owner, expect Man U to try to nickel and dime their way to signings next summer. It'll be the Caicedo back and forth with Chelsea all over again, dragging on and on.
Agreed. As good as he was with us in his day I think now at 70 he may have lost some of his agility.I imagine there’s a lot of teams that fancy Verbruggen at the moment but it really would be stretching it to think we would put Steele back in as our number 1 and sell the best GK we have for well below his potential - Steele is not exactly the football playing keeper I imagine FH would prefer between the sticks over Bart.
I think I’ll discard this along with rumours of January departures for Welbeck and Ferguson as just rumour and gossip until solid sources come to light.
No point worrying and stressing preemptively about our top players who might move on to bigger clubs, we’d never have a moments peace!
Getting him games ready for a summer Bart departure?
