The saves start off fairly basic in that reel then get better and better as it goes on. That low down one to the left was excellent.

That last save is absolutely brilliant, looks like its in and at the last possible second he's clawing it off the line.

I'm a huge fan of Jason Steele, but Bart is the future, now is the time to back him as number 1. Give him the remaining games this season so a run of games really helps him and the defence build an understanding. We can then kick on next season.

Unfortunately, it did cross the line... Video doesn't quite capture it

Ah yes you are correct, right at the end of the video you can see the ref look at his watch and whistle to signal the goal. It would have been a brilliant save considering he's going the other way across his goal so has to shift his body weight and make the leap after the header from the German attacker.

I like Steele. I'm not, and have never joined the Steele pile on. I think he's been a great servant to the club, put in some great performances and appreciate all he has done.

But it's time for Bart.

Steele is as good as he is ever likely to be. Bart is at the same level, but with massive room to grow.
Totally agree with this. Time to give Bart the experience he needs to be our starting keeper next season.

I also agree. There's need to slate one of our players. Steele should continue to be a valued squad member and next season maybe we could try something a bit more conventional, like Steele playing in the cups. If he's called upon for a run in the league through injury or whatever, I have total confidence he will acquit himself well.

Ive backed Steele all season but I agree its time to back Bart and have one choice for prem games.

The anti Steele contingent would have blamed him for all 3 goals today, in truth I think Bart was only at fault for the first where he looked a bit leaden footed. The third is always a tough one to judge because while it was near him and potentially savable, it was also hit like a bullet. I think few keepers get those, and then only with a bit of luck

I don't like smashing individual performances, but if Steele had let those three goals in he'd would have been roasted. I personally thought Bart was out of position for the first, he did anticipate the headed goal and the last was another that went straight through his gloves over his head, he should had put a glove on all three at worse, but he didn't. But at the end of the day we were so poor again, and we never looked like we were going to turn it on.

Is it a coincidence his worst performance for some time has come after he was randomly dropped then reinstated after a long run in the team?
