Yep this is where I’m at. Play him as the number 1 now in order to get the most from his development. Now is the time to back him.
This isn't about a GK vs GK. It's about making sure he is in the best position to start next season on fire. Clearly he is a potentially elite talent.
Unfortunately, it did cross the line... Video doesn't quite capture itThat last save is absolutely brilliant, looks like its in and at the last possible second he's clawing it off the line.

Totally agree with this. Time to give Bart the experience he needs to be our starting keeper next season.I like Steele. I'm not, and have never joined the Steele pile on. I think he's been a great servant to the club, put in some great performances and appreciate all he has done.
But it's time for Bart.
Steele is as good as he is ever likely to be. Bart is at the same level, but with massive room to grow.
I don't like smashing individual performances, but if Steele had let those three goals in he'd would have been roasted. I personally thought Bart was out of position for the first, he did anticipate the headed goal and the last was another that went straight through his gloves over his head, he should had put a glove on all three at worse, but he didn't. But at the end of the day we were so poor again, and we never looked like we were going to turn it on.The anti Steele contingent would have blamed him for all 3 goals today, in truth I think Bart was only at fault for the first where he looked a bit leaden footed. The third is always a tough one to judge because while it was near him and potentially savable, it was also hit like a bullet. I think few keepers get those, and then only with a bit of luck
