The truly inspirational Baroness Thatcher - RIP

Disagree wholeheartedly with her policies.

However cannot celebrate her death as that is just wrong. Will not be shedding any tears for her though.

I always feared this day - not because of any great reverence that I hold for Thatcher, but it was clearly going to be a time when people were going to be dreadfully disrespectful.

As such, I've not read a word on this thread and I won't. I have renamed it appropriately however.

Of course changing the thread title isn't going to antagonize those that are dancing on her grave and possibly make them more vitriolic. I'm not a fan of hers but don't condone the so called party goers.

If you choose to copy only a few words from a slightly longer text, then it is easy to vilify isn't it. I am not particularly a fan of Maggie, but she certainly has not gone down in my estimation after seeing Liebour, that odious grinning toad Bliar, then the anti English McBroon....and now Camoron and his ilk. The same 10% pay WELL OVER half of all the income tax that government receive.

I'm sure they do, but at what price?

I'm not anti personal wealth. I believe people should be rewarded for being smarter, harder working or what-have-you, but I think the disparity needs to be addressed.

How much of that wealth could be reinvested in to the country?


As an aside, I'm not sure I would be anti privatising much of the council. From what I have experienced, seen and heard from various departments, most of the people I have come across wouldn't last a day if the operation was to be run as a profitable business.
