Last Saturday I was engaged in a discussion over the boxing when a page came up telling me I had been banned from NSC for making libellous comments, on contacting a mod it seemed one of the mods had taken exception to a comment I had made in the William Hague thread and had banned me. Not withstanding that the comment I had made has been in the public domain for 4 years and in various newspapers and has never been thought of as anything but true, one mod not being able to take criticism of his beloved Conservative party banned me.

I had a PM which read that I received a 'Major Infraction' for not sticking to the 'fact's and this was used to ban me.

So it seems now that anyone on NSC who doesn't stick to the 'FACTS' will be banned or will it be anyone who has differing political views to the mod concerned will be banned if he doesn't like the posts you make.

Maybe it would be simpler to ban all political discussions on NSC rather than bully me for not having the correct views ?

Why not add the word Alleged to cover yourself then ?

Contrary to the popular belief perpetrated (traditionally) by Have I Got News For You, merely sticking "allegedly" before a libellous allegation won't necessarily render it legitimate.

Alas, let us sing sad songs around the fire as our Dear Leader may have left NSC for good.

A very sad day, however a bit dum to start a thread about your ban.........

I HEARD that Bozza and Ernest spent the NIGHT in Brightonkinkybnb, where Ernest had PROMISED all the positions known to MAN. Bozza was so excitied he spent the day SKIPPING and telling all his friends of the fun that awaited. HALF an hour into a night of bondage BOZZA learned that Ernest didn't actually like sex, all he wanted to do was TALK about his sausage and special sauce. Bozza through his half pint of snakebite over Ernest and shouted "You're finished you one trick PONY".

Are you really as stupid as you make out? Even that article, as I posted on the last thread, does NOT state that he shared a bed with his researcher. The reason they don't state that is that it is unproven and therefore libellous.

For as long as NSC has been in existence, it has hosted discussions on a wide-range of political views - many quite extreme and a million miles from my own. No one has ever had posting rights restricted, or an outright ban imposed, purely for the political beliefs expressed, and that is not going to start now.

But libellous posts have no place here. I do not care one iota if those same 'facts' have been posted elsewhere - it's my duty to try and protect posters from themselves and, more importantly, protect myself and my family from threat of costly prosecution. You may not like that. You may be too stupid to understand that, but I ask you respect it. There is the whole internet out there for you to post whatever you like - feel free to use it.

But this is not the first time recently that someone has been banned for holding political opinions is it?

Let me guess this is the new mod Goldstone 74 who banned me for an "unsourced" opinion. But Im not that bothered, its the kind of cock up that is going to keep re-accuring till you get rid of him.

he's not up to it.

It would probably been wiser not to start this thread in the first place, and just contact the mod in question via PMs, who will, in time, deal with it, he knows full well that discussing a ban / reasons why openly etc are a :nono:

To be honest never know when Ernest is serious or joking in his post but ref's to making libellous comments, there are ways to cover yourself.

Textbook NSC. Ernest mixing his personas up and hitony getting the wrong end of the stick and then claiming it’s all a joke. Dingodan has just thrown in a conspiracy for good measure.

All we need is a losing Uncle Speilberg horse to complete the set.

Did you mean illigitamate? Anyway you could claim parody but it is a mute point, under the all embracing malicious communications act once is a joke and twice is harrassment.

If something has already been alleged then it is possible to report on the allegation unless a judge has specifically stated otherwise. For example, You can't state that Edna Krabappel allegedly kicked a cat unless someone has already has already made that allegation.

There are exceptions, when an allegation is obviously false and made for comedic effect, which is how HIGNFY get away with it.

Why single out Edna? What do you know? No smoke without fire.
