Just finished re-watching the whole series. It's f***ing brilliant isn't it. The ninth episode when they find the concentration camps is ridiculously harrowing.

WHO IS WITH ME!

One of the best series ever. I have watched the DVDs countless times. It really give a good impression of the feelings of the soldiers, rather than many war films/series, which simply concentrate on unrealistically heroic actions.

I cannot wait for the Pacific Series to come out.

Brilliant series. I see it more as an epic film than a series, the production values are so good.

Plus EVERYONE is in it. When Simon Pegg turns up I can't help but think I'm watching Big Train for a few seconds.

The most expensive TV series EVER produced - and it shows. Absolute genius.
The sequence when they parachute in to Normandy during the D-Day landings was amongst the greatest 'war movie' footage ever committed to film in my opinion. I was absolutely CACKING myself watching that, and I was only on a sofa with a bag of nachos. I can barely imagine what it must be like to actually go through something like that.

For fans of B of B i would definitely recommend the HBOS series "Over There" which is a similar, Iraq- based, thing. It was cancelled after it's first series at it was too close to the bone ,apparently. Not afraid to tackle issues of suicide bombers, the killing of women and children and soldiers losing limbs. It really should have had a second series, top stuff.

Aparently a trailer for 'the Pacific' is doing the rounds on t'internet. Basically it is about a few soldiers in the Pacific war and made by the same team as BoB. Hopefully, it should be good.

afternoon all, first post from me and it's not about adams. My Dad was on D-Day with the Canadians on Juno beach, he couldn't watch all this series as in his own words "it's the closest film to the real thing". He even stumbled on a concentration camp. Amazing series, must be the best ever.

Just got around to watching it. I'm watching the first episode now for the first time. I have no idea why I've never watched it before. I'm enjoying it immensely.

Amasing series. With some good Brit actors in there for good messure. One problem i found, and this might just be me, is that, becasuse each episode was about one charecter at a time, I found it difficult to remember their names. To put names to faces as it were. Apart from the Winters.

Recommend highly.

He did not direct most of it actually but it was his idea and vision and its a follow up series to Saving Private Ryan

Never seen a minute of BOB (as us non-Band of Brothers fans like to refer to it)and while I'm sure it's just peachy, whiney-voiced David Schwimmer convincing in an army uniform - you gotta be shittin' me Private Pyle?!?! Well?
