After 49 years on this planet I've just eaten my first one.
Blooming marvelous, how has it taken this long?
I think you should be telling us. Why is this? Unless you have been brought up by vegetarians I would have thought this virtually impossible.
Details man, details. Streaky or back bacon? Smoked or unsmoked? Crispy or not? The egg, runny or solid?
Perfect b&e sarnie for me is crispy smoked streaky bacon with a runny fried egg.
With all this discussion about having good thick cut bacon, spare a thought for those who are estranged in the USA where all they get is that wafer thin, over crispy, Oscar Mayer, streaky crap.
Why not go all out and have sausage, bacon and egg sandwich?
My dad microwaves his bacon when he makes bacon and egg sandwiches. I lived under that tyranny for twenty years and it is the main reason why his eventual nursing home will be nothing more than a small step up from locking him in the garden shed.
wow 49 years without sampling the best food ever!!
crispy bacon/runny egg is fave until having a beard. had to give up the runny egg now don't mix well with a beard.
Can't stand Lincolnshire sausages. The very epitomy of the herby hotel sausage. Not for me Clive.
