Nothing in life is without risk, but do nothing there can only be one outcome.......

Absolutely this. If nothing changes things will stay exactly as they are. A random 'oldie but goldie' from china, a wish come true from a list of 25mill+ strikers in and around the PL, a couple of 'who's?' from a league no-one can pronounce or loanees/DS player/s? Who cares, just get some fresh blood in and hope that whoever we get can then fulfil the next part, bedding in to the PL, attitude, goals, consistency, team cohesion...........etc etc. Every option has risks, not just chucking money around and hoping we get the right man. Whatever we end up with, by Feb 1st we will know what we have to work with regardless of 'failure' to do this or that in whatever window, that will be it. I'll be glad when we get past this last window so we can start to focus on the job in hand - the team (whoever that turns out to be), the results and staying up.

Have a hunch that we'll have our new striker by the time the Chelsea game comes around next Saturday. Watch this space.

Why is everyone being so damn negative. Keep the faith - I’m sure those behind the scenes are doing all they can and I don’t think TB has invested all his millions to simply give up and tamely slip back into the Championship. I expect some signings v soon.

So what?

Our cash is as good as theirs!!

And here you prove your naivety. We may well match the same transfer fee as someone else, but won't smash our wage structure to accommodate an out of sync wage demand. That would open the flood gates to other players demanding parity. And we may not be able to match terms eg offering a shorter contract. Plus there are dozens of reasons why a player might not fancy Brighton.

These are really complicated deals and never as simple as just the transfer fee.

That's the kind of strategic thinking BHA need. Hope Paul Barber is reading this - should get everything wrapped up by the weekend.

Well, let's just give up then and not try!

Honestly, our money is the same as anyone elses, there is a real inferiority complex on here! :nono:

And that's why we need to target players from obscure countries with sh*t TV reception, who haven't been able to watch MOTD for 2 months!

Have Burkina Faso got any tasty fast powerful centre forwards or flying wingers, in the £1 bargain basement section? :albion2:

Even if we did Hughton would have him on the bench for a possible 85th minute cameo at 0-2 down
