glad its gone,fed up walking around all day with my pockets stuffed with £1 coins.
standard of the girls dropped also,mostly Eastern European trafficked types.......not having my money enabling that sort of crap......bring back the English chavs addicted to heroine i say.
sort of establishment that really should have been exempt from the smoking ban.
got to be the worst bog in England as well.
God im going to miss that place

Don't think you'll get rose-water and saffron marinated lamb shanks in there to be honest, but for a quid you can apparently get some nice beef c........on second thoughts, yes, give it a swerve.

It was a Trumans pub so the strong light was Ben Truman and the strong bitter also called Ben Truman. hence Ben & Ben Purely co incidental that we got a grandson named Ben some 25 years later.

Ahhh with you now BG. All those famous old pub chains gone forever. Courage, Watney's, Trumans, Friary Meux etc. etc.
We even had a brewery in my home town of Staines during my childhood, Simonds of Reading, became part of the Courage empire back in the 1960's l believe.
