Also can anyone tell me where the pick up points are?

I'm in Haywards Heath/Lindfield, but I am also in Brighton from time to time.

Thats fine WW

But can I just ask you to explain why?

You're in LINDFIELD? where abouts?

And personally 6 hours on a coach with the supporters club mob (ok maybe goons was a bit harsh, but you get the anorak's and a fair few oldies), sat next to one person, doesn't come near the entertainment of a train journey with a few beers and a group of others.

Thanks for your explanation.

I'm near the High Street

The Complete Badger has already posted what I wished to. I will reiterate that Liz is a fantastic person, who is dedicated to the club, and all who sail with her. I may take the bus on Monday, as I finish a night shift that morning, but will be more likely to take the train.

She's bloody interesting to talk to too. There seems to be a perception on here that she's a real albion anorak who will not say a word against anyone at the club, and as such is a bit of a geeky person you wouldn't want to spend time with. Nothing is further from the truth. I've found her quite critical at times, and certainly very intriguing to listen to. I recall coming back from defeats in the championship and her having plenty to say. As she's a bit closer to the club than most of us she provides a bit of gossip too. As I said, top woman:thumbsup:

Very brief dealings with Liz, who I think sees me as a bit of a pissed up clown, but she has utmost respect from myself.

The cheapest of all if the times work out right is megabus.

My son drove to Carlisle for work and then over to stay the weekend in Stockton and I was going to go with him. The price from Middlesbro (5 miles from Stockton) to London was £8 and from Victoria to Brighton £4.

Son is driving 'the old man' to Forest.

Your opinion doesn't count though Das.

I think people stopped listening to you a long time ago!

Costs a fortune?
Cheap day return to Oldham: £60-£70 (approx)
Costa Express (last season): About £35

PLUS you get dropped off and picked up almost right outside the ground and it doesn't take 8 hours to get there (like it would on the train, according to Network Rail).

Do the maths will you?

Really?

I paid £22 on the train from Brighton to Manchester and it did not take 8 hours (even with buses from Brighton to Three Bridges).

Very true. On the way home from Carlisle we were surrounded by loads of scantily dressed 18 year olds going for a night out in Newcastle. I am still recovering from this ordeal now! I keep getting flash backs of how they were dressed and the language they used was truly shocking!

The coach is not my ideal for away games, but it got me to Walsall and back last week and saved an overnight stay that the train would have involved. Not my first choice but it gets quiet a few regulars to and from every game so each to there own. Not sure why people feel they have to knock it. If you dont like it dont use it but then dont start moaning about not being able to get to games.

Getting a lift on Tuesday but will be back on the train for all the other away games. Forest is costing us £22 from Three Bridges to Nottingham . For Leeds it was £40 Three Bridges to Leeds
