Amazing day and result yesterday.

However, it irked me a bit to see away fans coming into the stand after the game. This is an absolute no, if they want to socialise, go into the pubs in the city centre.

Call me old fashioned but I love the tribal nature of football, so, having a couple if Wolves fans suddenly come in yesterday for beers was too far imo.
What with single sex toilets and all that, I'd imagine that tipped you over the edge.

NorthstandRacoon has had a bit of a kicking on here but if the circumstances had been different he may have a point. The Wolves fans I saw in the NS concourse were obviously reasonable people, they had been on the end of a drubbing and were behaving themselves. I'm proud that Albion fans accepted their presence. But if I'm honest if it were gloating noisy away fans when we had lost I would be disappointed if they weren't made to feck-off...
I agree with that, but I genuinely don't think its ever happened? Its a bit of a secret with away fans that a) you can hang around after the game and the bars stay open and b) that away fans can go in the north. The only way anyone I know whos opposition has found out is because I've told them to meet me afterwards for a pint like my Uncle whos a (non shirt wearing) Brentford fan, if they've been invited by friends and family thats probably why they don't kick off. The funniest ones we had was a group of Newcastle fans who asked me about 5 times where I could get coke in Brighton.

Risqué in the 40’s that one!

Risqué in the 40’s

I was walking along this narrow mountain pass - so narrow that nobody else could pass you, when I saw a beautiful blonde walking towards me. A beautiful blonde with not a stitch on, yes, not a stitch on, lady. Cor blimey, I didn't know whether to toss myself off or block her passage

That's a relative of my in-laws you're talking about there
@Harry Wilson's tackle just in case you were wondering if I was pulling your leg with my comment (as if ;)) ... here's a bit of the family tree ...

Edward Marlow (Ted) was my father-in-law ... so Noddy was his second cousin. My in-laws were very close to Noddy's mum and dad when they all lived in Walsall. My MIL used to go shopping with Noddy's mum ... both pushing prams with my BIL in one and Noddy in another!

Slade were my favourite band as I got into music as a 11/12 year old. And they were the first band I saw live as a 15 year old in 1977.

I never got to meet or speak with Noddy though unfortunately. Although one of my sons did when staying at their grandparents over a school holiday. The house phone rang and one of my lads answered it. It was Noddy wanting to speak to Ted ... sadly to let him know his mum had passed away!

I didn't doubt you for a moment. If untrue it would have been a most peculiar claim. 'How very queer' would have been my exclamation when the truth came out. ???

Good story.

Another poster (I won't name him, but he has noted this on NSC) is the nephew of Nobel prize winner, and hero of mine, Sir James Whyte Black (his uncle Jim)

Apparently my mum's cousin was related to Dick Emery.

(I think this thread has well and truly been derailed now :lolol: )

I very nearly prefaced my post with an ‘off topic’ warning … because that never happens on NSC 😂😂

I'm more concerned about running into residents of Moulescoomb or Portslade than away fans there, tbh.

A Utd fan with Utd shirt and coat came into the NS this evening, after a long discussion with stewards he was escorted to the shop to buy a Brighton t shirt to wear with his mates jumper and his utd stuff in a bag

Edit: the stewards escorted him to the shop, i didn't make that clear

That's better than making him move. He has to stand for a whole game in the opposition's colours!
