You dumb arse.

What was the score the last time England played Australia in "the global game"?

Let me remind you it was 3-1 and it wasn't to your advantage

australia clearly aren't great at football, getting better yes, but i think the original point was that they've never achieved anything in football.......which is clearly true regardless of their very good record in other sports

i can't understand why you're trying to argue otherwise?

To be fair, on current statistics, Australia are only marginally more "shit" at football than we are, seeing as how they exited the World Cup finals a mere one round prior to England, and after getting a similar hammering from the Germans.

 we are just an average side.

We just try hard and have few super egos to manage.

Your sporting knowledge seems to amount to the sum of a thimble full of gnat shit.

To be honest, boasting about a victory in a friendly - and, what, seven or eight years later? - suggests you know f***-all about football.

If you read his post the other clown was saying we are basically good at nothing on the world level,

I'm not arguing that we are anything special in football, we're a decent enough team given the players we have. Nothing more, nothing less.

Too many of our best young male athletes are taken up playing AFL for us to ever be world beaters in football.

How does that suggest I know f*** all about football?

Given I know the result i'm well aware it was a meaningless friendly where Sven Goran tried f***ing around with the English side by playing pretty much two different sides in each half.

So it wasn't boasting, just pointing out that to suggest we're absolute turd at all sports is a long way from the truth.

the problem with australians is that thy think they ar great at sport and they hate it when you point out they dont play the global sport of football to any standard and being great at aussie rules is being the best at something because nobody else gives a flying one about it. They are the masters of their own downfall by being big headed without having anything to be big headed about. They can whine like champions tho, as Harold Lawood found out during the leg theory tour when the australians were frightened of fast bowling. Just a shame the MCC caved in to the cry babies instead of backing Larwood and Jardine.

Oh dear, you really don't know anything about world sport do you poor child.

I'm sorry you were always the last kid picked to play on the team.

Psychologically that must have been tough on you.

Chin up and cut back on the fatty foods.

As one wag said when Larwood came home with the ashes, "maybe we should have bowled under arm at them". Australian sport? Not worth two bob.

Most people know that friendly international matches are insignificant.

Something which fans of rugby union, cricket etc find hard to grasp.

Most fans of rugby union and cricket recognise that there is no such thing as a friendly international.

Actually I've been watching the Tour De France.

One of the biggest sporting events in the world.

Maybe you should check it out, and when you do, look out for the guy in the rainbow jersey.

The world champion wears that jersey.

Guess where he's from?

Anyway i expect thy are letting him win in case you all start crying and ask for questions to be said in France's equivalent of Parliament. Maybe we should have bowled under arm to let you win and stop whining

The result may be insignificant.

The opportunity to test players and game tactics in them by the coaches isn't.

So they do have important roles to play in world football otherwise they'd not hold them.

Hang on a sec...England have won one World Cup and zero continental championships = one major international trophy.

Australia have won zero World Cups and four continental championships = four major international trophies, thereby proving beyond doubt that Australia are clearly better than England

I love the Australia V England rivalry. It brings out the very worst in both sets of supporters, and usually the best in the players.

Long may it continue.

TB I like your postings, they are generally intelligent and well reasoned.

However you do seem to rise to the bait off the trolls a bit too easily.

Anyway back to the test match, I still think there could be a fascinating finish in store tomorrow morning, its not going to be easy to bat under cloudy Yorkshire skies at 11.00 in the morning and Pakistan are not known for their resilience.

I can't believe that some English football supporters are having a go at an Aussie for having a crap team. Did I dream the last world cup?

Back to the test, I thought the Aussies might just pull something out of this game but I think the jig's up for them now. Pakistan can't pull a defeat out a hat twice in a year, surely?

eh? Do you leave australia? What have australia ever won, rugby union? So have england, not that anyone really gives a shit about egg chasing. Cricket, well we know that we are not allowed to bowl fast in case we hurt you but you still lost theAs for a global sport - football, the true measure of sporting class, well australia have never even got through the group stages. Australians, you gotta love how insular and cut off they are. Makes them quite quaint.
