Great little docu that, thanks. Gotta love Mikey Dread as a narrator. I had all the Deep Roots Music programmes on video once upon a time that Channel 4 put out back in the day and he was excellent on that too. I still have the book but the video bit the dust a long time ago unfortunately.

Anyway, highlight for me on that film is 50 seconds in when Coxsone drops a heavyweight dubbed out version of the Youthman/Green Bay Killing riddim. Can't resist then to put this up, especially as Eccleton Jarrett features in the mix Wouldn't be complete without Glen Browns dub though.

Edit: Almost forgot. I used to cane Mad Professors Banana Republic. His early dub me crazy series was essential listening back then. I even passed by his studio on Whitehorse Lane when I went to the Palace game recently. Looked like a garage lock and I couldn't see where the entrance was even but the Ariwa sign was up.

Rootsman Sound from Bradford in UK, versus the legend that is Downbeat from
New York...Started listening to this, and have to say, Rootsman are impressing so far....
Starting off the session with some wicked dubplates including Gregory, Halfpint, Junior Cat, and then Dubplates from Johnny Osbourne followed by Big Youth on the Heathen rhythm...fyah!!..Really enjoying it, and looking forward to see what gems Tony Screw and Finger comes back with....Looks like it will be on my headphones for quite a while.
