Perhaps you should save that money you were going to spend buying your next wife and purchase a Mac instead...........you might learn something?

Well most Mac users say they're supposed to be simpler to use than PCs. Obviously meant to for simple people, you've just proved that.

According to the two heavy duty Mac users here Firefox 3 is not available for their machines yet. However, unlike Mac users I don't know everything so this might be untrue.

The download site was offering Firefox 2 (with the 'proper' English interface pack) for Mac until earlier today if you lived in the UK or Ireland, rather than Firefox 3. bit of a mistake there...

Of course they are simpler to use, the software is written to support the hardware the machines use.

Says the bloke who buys his wives over the internet

Arthur, whilst it's pretty clear you don't get out much and thus have very little idea about the fairer sex I should point out that just because your mummy sells herself most women don't. Maybe one day when you've got through puberty you might find out but with your personality (or lack there of) it's doubtful.

Are you related to Adrie by any chance ?

Yeah, MacOS, written for generic Intel-compatible hardware. As opposed to Windows, written for...

Oh, wait, genreic Intel compatible hardware....

Why bother ? It's just a bit sad that Mac users (well some of them) just have to keep on about their precious Macs when PC users (which is the majority the world over) couldn't give a toss.

What a shame people like Arthur have to stray off the point but there again some people are like that. I have mentioned the Firefox upgrade to the aforementioned Mac users but they're not bothered. What is a little surprising is that neither use Safari. I've downloaded that and although it's interesting I don't see it as any better than Opera or Netscape (yes, why not ?) let alone Firefox. I can't say that I can go along with Apple's assertions that it's the faster browser available, it might be on a Mac but there again, it's not on the Mac I am typing this in with either.

Why not? How about because they don't actually do browsers any more?

Well you're right (obviously) as since AOL took them over they have stopped marketing as Netscape. Still, you do wonder if one of the reasons so many AOL users had problems with Vista was that Netscape once sued Microsoft over brosing software. Of course not !

Hang on a sec, you are the bloke who has started a thread today moaning about hardware support in vista!

Don't see any threads on here or anywhere else about hardware support in OSX!

You think Mac users care about PC users? Couldn't care less! I would say to anyone if you have got the money to spare buy a Mac over a PC any day of the week. OSX isn't perfect but it's a damn sight less flaky than windo$e and you know full well you are buying quality, any mush on the street could bung the bits together to build a PC.

And no, I don't use Safari because there are better alternatives.

Stick to your mail order brides Frank, you are appear to know more about them than you do computers!

You know Arthur, you're such a complete twat and also you have a vivid imagination. Whatever I do (which has to be far more interesting than you of that I have no doubt) why do you feel the need to make totally inappropriate and inaccurate personal comments when they have nothing to do with the thread ?

You're such a pathetic little man aren't you ? Still I suppose being totally irrelevent is in keeping with your personal situation.

Lovely, self-contradictory statements there. Bravo Sir.

Where? If someone asked me whether they should buy a Mac or PC I'd tell them to buy a Mac, couldn't care less if they bought a PC.

If you include my work laptop I own four PC's myself. Only EVER use my Mac for anything other than work though.

You say you don't care for PC users, then wibble on about PCs, Windows and telling people to convert. Which gives proof that you do quite clearly 'care'.

Are you counting your IA-32 Intel Standard Architechture powered Mac (if its made after 2006...) in your number of PCs? Because it is just a PC, running one of many UNIX-derived operating systems for IA-32.

oh, and as reference for the about 3 people who'll know what this means:

I'm posting this from one of my PC laptops, it just happens to be running the OS that its vendor supplied with it rather than Windows (which it also quite happily runs). Its quite a poor quality laptop, made of cheap polycarbonate in China, and its already had one power supply go on fire.

You don't know anything about my personal life because a) I have one outside of this board and b) I choose not to brag about it on here.
