Does it mean that the planned engineering work on Saturday will be suspended too? That might actually be a result ...

Actually I think it's fair enough. It's almost guaranteed the trains will be up shit creek tomorrow in any case may as well try and plan around it now rather than it being a disorganised mess tomorrow.

Anywhere else they run more trains to help people out .. In USa if bad weather hits they run extra trains to make sure all the travel arteries are open

I still can't get my head around why snow would affect anything. Surely 100 tonnes of force every 3 minutes would be enough to melt/clear the tracks?

Saturday's going to be fun on the rail replacement buses. Can see a few breaking down due to the weather because some of them are so old.
