I'm another NSC rarity who quite likes Leeds. I lived there for a few years and used to go to Elland Rd from time to time. Quite a nasty crowd in some ways but they are certainly very loud. I’ve a good mate who's Leeds born and bred. He’s pretty disillusioned with the club at the moment but, like many Leeds fans, absolutely adores Bielsa.Oddly, it was a ground I had never been to. We didn't play them in the years I went to almost every away match. And after, for some reason, I just couldn't be bothered even though it was a new one.
My line managing work colleague who is based in Yorkshire is a Leeds fan of 50 odd years standing. Despite speaking virtually for up to six hours a week, the Leeds visit was the only time we've met properly in person. We both seem to watch each others teams now so I take an interest in how they are doing. They're on the box so much I end up knowing more about them than I do Albion. As we've become such good friends I've moved from being an Un-Leeds fan to wishing them well. It's hard not to when they are just a pleased as I am at Albion doing well and I was told I could just take time off at a moments notice if I did choose to travel to Europe last year. It also helps that my colleague is very rational about them and doesn't have the sense of entitlement we associate with their supporters.
