Atmosphere at the Amex

Fair enough. And what did you think of the atmosphere today?

I was 'sat' in the north west corner, we create our own atmosphere so it's not really possible for me to judge what it was like in the rest of the ground although I have a sneaking suspicion it was probably quite flat, especially in places like the East Upper where bizarrely some posters here feel justified in passing verdict on the efforts of others from.

As I said previously though nothing will ever change at the Amex whilst the North is looked to for volume, the roof is too high and it is too long and shallow, for the atmosphere to ever markedly improve it will require a total upheaval of all those who attend who would like to create an atmosphere to somewhere conducive to creating one, I had hoped it would be the north-west but I think actually the south-west might be better.

Blimey... You went today?

Fair enough. I thought wouldn't pay more than £15 to Barber for a game.

Best atmosphere in ages in WSU F, but the noise seemed to be coming from all round the ground (except the east) so surprised people thought it was poor. It was infinitely better than the other home matches this season.

Personally i think your right although the NW corner could be the best place for it unless the away fans are moved as certain games at home will result in tickets being re-allocated. It should ripple all the way across the north but it doesn't. Whether it is everyone does not know what everyone else is singing or it is 2 groups don't want to sing together i don't know. We go away and we are loud. At home not as much so as not everyone is in such a concentrated space. It can be done both home and away as can be seen by clubs across Europe. Personally i just think its a British thing. We seem as a culture to be embarrassed to sing aloud. No idea why but people seem happier sitting on their hands

So slow, I beat you to the 'never goes' "gag".

I paid £18 today, £12 last week so it balances out nicely.

It's not for lack of desire I don't think it's a mechanical problem with the design of the stadium, the north is too long and thin, sound doesn't travel down it at all, never will.

Really? Don't know where you sit but I am in G and the guys to our right were really getting things going in the second half (not so much the guys to our left) If you think that it was ONE OF THE WORST atmosphere in 3 years you won't mind if I say your IMO counts for diddly squat

Clearly my opinion that doesn't count 'for diddly squat' is being shared by quite a few on here.

Ignore Blackadder, just one of the many lonely old twisted men with nothing better to do who rides around NSC on a high horse that only exists in their brain.

Best way to think of it is that if they weren't doing this on here they'd probably be alcoholics or contemplating suicide, so we're doing them a favor by just politely ignoring them.

Fair enough. You thought it was one of the Worst today in the upper West.

Seriously Husty. It's good to see you can afford to go to games now. Enjoy the season.
