The atmosphere in the ground is terrible. The players are constantly trying to get more noise from the crowd which is fair enough. We need to support the team whether they are winning or losing.
A few things need to happen: 1. The away fans need to be moved so they are not so dominant behind the goal.
2. The north stand need to sing one song together rather than different songs clashing with each other.
3. People need to stay till the end not leave the ground early. Embarrassing - where is the support.
4. Other areas of the ground have to sing

I was talking to a man u fan (from Salford) in the west stand after the match & he said the noise at his beloved old Trafford is less than the amex was on sunday - due to - less successful times, over pricing pushing the hardcore support out & mass tourism. We have a lot of tourists (including this guy), but one of the loudest people near me on sunday was a Japanese lady who shouted in english & her native language.

Clearly the 50 or so police box crew have their own agenda & are determined not to sing with the east side of the north stand.

Most brighton fans at the amex are fans of other teams 1st & have either switched allegiances or are doing the right thing & bringing their kids up to support their local team

The noise was good on sunday, but was pathetic on the Friday night against Southampton, following such impressive support against man city - when the place was rocking in that 2nd half

& a lot of brighton fans are not in their prime anymore - & can't take any excitement anyway. So to make noise may push them over the edge

Terribly sorry for not being aware of previous posts - just busy being a proper fan you know. If you people were as good at singing as you are at dicking around on here then this thread need never be repeated
Have you got a copy of the Proper Fan Handbook please? Just want to make sure I’m not breaching any conditions. Ta.

The issue I think is we as a club attract mostly families and old people to games due to how expensive tickets are and thus you end up with the stadium being comprised of people who can only sit down and five year olds who aren't known for producing a lot of noise at football games. Obviously I'm not expecting us to rival Galatasaray for noise levels but with the price of tickets, the demographics we attract to the ground make it difficult to generate noise. Of course the West and North Lower are the frontline for noise as it were but even then having a modern stadium, albeit an impressive one, will naturally decrease the noise. Another problem is the notoriously terrible transport options to get to the ground, with only a single always late train line and beng next to a motorway encourages a more defererential attitude to the football, as people with young kids (back to the point at the top of this post) want to get the park and ride back to their nissan juke on mill road. It was the only possible site for the ground, however with the size of the club in 2011, comparisons to the likes of Leeds and Newcastle who have stadiums in the heart of the city was never really envisaged, and unfortunately unless ticket prices go back down (which won't happen short of divine intervention) the empty seats and lack of noise will continue to plague us. Even Selhurst, as much as we give it stick, is able to generate noise being situated admist a built-up area. I'm sorry for the essay but I would be very open to hear feedback on my theory.

Remarkable Insight.

I do apologise for leaving when the 3rd went in , i fully understand I’m an embarrassing/bad supporter
I sat ALL the way through it. Not even getting up to make a coffee until it was over.
