If Pedro put the ball across - may have actually been a Villa player's touch.
That was the issue. If the defender hadn’t got a touch, and it comes clean off Pedro, then it is offside.
I think we were given the benefit of the doubt.

Not necessarily - his back foot would have had to have been behind Martinez (and I don't think it was) - because the Villa player off the pitch counts as being on the dead ball line.

I think the offside one is subjective - so fair enough really. And we did have quite a bit of time after the foul on Solly - they rarely pull it back for things like that (for all teams not just us). We only have ourselves to blame today.
I'm not disputing we deserved to be 3.0 down but the foul on March was a clear and obvious error leading to their attack and goal in the same pattern of play
