YES!!
Not without reason, I was concerned VAR would ignore their player off the fieldVAR tried to rule it out
Not necessarily, depends on the goalkeeperGet in..had to be of they had a player off the field.
So you don't win anything with kids?Lots of talk on this thread about Hinshelwood starting. He’s not to blame but one thing is definite- you cannot have an untried midfielder from the youth team in the premier league and hope to stay top 4- fact
To be fair to him, that was a difficult one to check - had to check two or three things at once.Atwell trying his hardest to disallow that huh
That was the issue. If the defender hadn’t got a touch, and it comes clean off Pedro, then it is offside. If Pedro put the ball across - may have actually been a Villa player's touch.
Not necessarily, depends on the goalkeeper
If Fati was behind the goalkeeper it would have been offside. Fati needed to be infront of one opposition player (McGinn) and he was and he needed to be ahead of the goalkeeper (he was)Get in..had to be if they had a player off the field.
No not these days my friendSo you don't win anything with kids?
Not necessarily - his back foot would have had to have been behind Martinez (and I don't think it was) - because the Villa player off the pitch counts as being on the dead ball line. That was the issue. If the defender hadn’t got a touch, and it comes clean off Pedro, then it is offside.
I'm not disputing we deserved to be 3.0 down but the foul on March was a clear and obvious error leading to their attack and goal in the same pattern of playI think the offside one is subjective - so fair enough really. And we did have quite a bit of time after the foul on Solly - they rarely pull it back for things like that (for all teams not just us). We only have ourselves to blame today.
