I think you mean 'covet' - and I'm afraid it has nothing to do with bestiality. It means 'be jealous of' like "do not covet dwayne's PS3."

I work for a company that has a UK office serving Polish clients and sub contracting some of that work offshore to Indians. I've no doubt that the same story that gave rise to such hilarity at the railway would get a puzzled expression at best in my office. Does that make me PC or give me a lack of sense of humour?
