just noticed on the footage of the attempted punch by a fan on lampard that cole(booooooooo)kicks the guy on the floor.

now just to clear this up. it wasnt hard kicks at all, and probably the guy deserved it. but should he get in trouble? again it wasnt really violant but did he need to do it?

sure some footage is on youtube(cole in white vest)

but the guy was on the pitch. so will he get in trouble.

its like when diof spat at someone in the crowd, noone ever said ''well the guy should have spat at him, or abused him in the first place''

i know this was more extreme regardless of whether he should have ran on or not was cole wrong?

Yes, Cole was wrong and should also face discipline.
Cantona got a long ban for taking it to a fan, and although the fan deserved it if only for being a scummer, Eric got disciplined.

Now there will be Spurs fans thinking it's okay to take it to Chelsea players, as they will play along.

Also, was it racist because a black was kicking whitey? That is, of course, extreme - but it plays into the hands of extremists.

Anyone else not care?

Must admit, I am finding it hard to care any less than I already don't...

Cole was crap yesterday, definately not international class.

I dont like the bloke, but that's ridiculous. On his day he is the best left-back in the world. Cristiano Ronaldo has been in his pocket in the last two meetings between England and Portugal - especially the Euro 2004 clash.

I don't disagree with you, but yesterday he was very poor. Anyone else see Mourinho having a go a him when everyone else was celebrating the first goal?

Just after JJ had done him?

You're only saying that because you've read it in the papers.

How much world football do you see?

A lot. He may not have had the best of seasons - mainly due to it being interrupted by injury - but that doesn't mean he turns into a bad player. I honestly believe he has been Englands best and most CONSISTENT player of the last four years (possibly add Gary Neville to that as well)

I think it likely that Mr Mourinho was referring to that particular incident. Cole looked like a naughty schoolboy being told off while he watched all his mates having fun out of the window. :lolol:

So if he played in an international game like he did last night, we would seriously be whipped down the left flank, I was also disapointed by Lennon. Not just the stuff the pundits picked up on, but as he grew level with a player or even passed them on the left flank, he would stop, pull the ball back and then attempt to put in a cross with his right foot. Can't the man cross with his LEFT?

Even tho he isnt Englands most skilful player he is Englands best player - if you get my drift.
