Liked Lahm a lot in the World Cup, but this season he's been pretty poor - promising going forward, but very lax in defence especially as teams target and exploit his reliance on his right foot.

Some of Cole's positioning this season in the Premiership has been embarrassing too. Can't understand why Jol didn't use Lennon on the right more last night - well, at all, even - especially since he'd made a fool of Cashley in the two previous games this season. And was getting nothing whatsoever out of the formidable doubling-up job Diarra and Mikel did on him whenever he got the ball.

So if he played in an international game like he did last night, we would seriously be whipped down the left flank, I was also disapointed by Lennon. Not just the stuff the pundits picked up on, but as he grew level with a player or even passed them on the left flank, he would stop, pull the ball back and then attempt to put in a cross with his right foot.
