It was a sitter, but on the harder end. Through on goal, one more touch and he'd have scored.

But at least he's in those positions, and yeah its a hrd chance, he did better than i would have.

is the correct answer...............ffs we are sitting top of the league and yet still some so called supporters want to do nothing more than have a go at one of OUR players, yes lets constantly criticise him so that when he gets in those situations again he has no confidence of taking the shot for fear of missing and incurring the wrath of the oh so experts on here.

I think that is a bit harsh. He missed what I would describe as an easy opportunity but I very much suspect if you asked Barnes himself he would readily admit that that was the easiest of the chances that came his way and that he was disappointed not to bury it. However, just because people are discussing this miss I'm not sure many are criticising him and calling for him to be dropped. He had a good game and to me, seems the sort of player that gets in good positions and because of that will score more goals. I'm happy with that.

No my opinion is still the same, he should've done better with that one. I've seen a few people saying the keeper made a good save but really if the forward does it properly in a one-on-one situation the keeper has no chance.

Having seen it again he hit it too early, that is actually a difficult chance from that distance as it's a narrow goal with the keeper on the 6 yard line. He should've taken another touch, preferrably to the left to open up an angle between him and the keeper and take himself away from the defender. Easy save for the keeper there.

He does much better with his other two chances, the second one was a great save and he was unlucky to hit the post.

So if he is right footed, why would he want to move it to his left and therefore have to shoot with his weaker foot? Taking a touch and taking it to the right would mean the defender was there to potentially prevent the chance so he made the right decision imo

What is wrong with some of you? He played very well, getting himself in very good positions, if he plays like that every game he will score at least one goal a game! he was very unlucky not to have a hatrick. And still, there are people moaning
